A collection of 250 pictures taken by Pittsburghers -- for Pittsburghers -- is on display downtown to celebrate the city's 250th anniversary.

"Snapshot 250" was unveiled Thursday afternoon at the Port Authority trolley station on Grant Street. Photos are arranged in a collage on the mezzanine level on a wall between the station's entrance and the tunnel to the U.S. Steel Building.

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh created the exhibit for people to share personal photos that show a sense of pride in the city, or a memorable moment in time, or a person or place that is unique to Pittsburgh.

Some of the winning photos that were chosen depict cultural attractions, buildings, neighborhoods, schools and children.

WTAE-TV Channel 4 Action News anchor Kelly Frey was the emcee of the photo unveiling event Thursday.
