'netWORTH: Home Buying, Selling, Refinancing

POSTED: 2:17 pm EDT June 3, 2008
UPDATED: 8:28 pm EDT June 4, 2008

My guest for this edition of 'netWORTH is Richard Cardinali who is a senior mortgage consultant with West Penn Financial.

He thinks this is a good time to buy a home since interest rates are so low. He also says those of you trying to sell right now should hang in there for a while because this is the best time of year for selling.

In terms of refinancing, Cardinali says there are some things homeowners should do before they make a decision.

He also talks about private mortgage insurance. You may have it and not realize it and there's something you can do to save hundreds of dollars a year that's worth mulling over.

Finally, there are three things home buyers should NEVER do as they're purchasing a home.
