Cranberry Police Make Arrest In Halloween Thefts

CRANBERRY, Pa. -- Police have made an arrest in the theft of trucksloads of Halloween decorations in Cranberry and Seven Fields, Butler County.Cranberry Township police had been investigating numerous reports of stolen decorations and flower pots in the area since Sept. 26.On Friday, they received a call about a silver or blue mini-van driving on Waterview Drive with no lights on at about 10 p.m.
Police spotted the vehicle speeding on Unionville Road at 10:30 p.m.The driver refused to stop when signaled by police and continued driving above the speed limit.The vehicle eventually stopped and police found potted flowers and Halloween decorations inside.Police also searched the driver’s home and discovered several truckloads of decorations and flower pots.The driver’s name has not been released.
