PITTSBURGH -- In a key and growing time period for Pittsburgh viewers, WTAE Channel 4 is the clear leader in the morning this November.

Channel 4 Action News This Morning is again the most watched morning news, achieving #1 status at both 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. WTAE Channel 4’s household ratings were up 8 percent at 5 a.m. and 3 percent at 6 a.m.

WTAE Channel 4 closed the household rating gap at 11 p.m. Channel 4 Action News at 11 p.m. grew 9 percent while Channel 4 Action News at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. were solid and consistent year to year. Channel 4 Action News also clearly dominated weekend mornings showing 10 percent growth.

A more detailed demographic analysis from Nielsen about Pittsburghers’ viewing choices will be released mid-December.

WTAE Channel 4, the ABC station in Pittsburgh, is owned by Hearst-Argyle Television. Hearst-Argyle owns 26 television stations, and manages an additional three television and two radio stations, in geographically diverse U.S. markets.
