A police standoff in Burgettstown in Washington County ended peacefully on Monday morning.

Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Department went to a home in the 700 block of Parker Road with an arrest warrant for 48-year-old Eric Paris.

Deputies said after 15 minutes of pounding on his door, they noticed a man on the roof.

Officers said Paris stayed on the roof for about half an hour until one deputy was able to convince him to come down.

Paris was arrested and taken to the Washington County jail.
